Data Collection and Processing

Subject to the relevant local laws, DM Financial may process certain information about you if this information is of Legitimate Interest. This data may include what is known as Personal Data under GDPR and/or Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

DM Financial processes your personal information in line with its Privacy Policy and T&C’s to provide you with the information that is of most interest to you, and deliver the services you have requested.

DM Financial does not carry out automated profiling and will not make any decisions based on the automated processing of data.

Sensitive Data

DM Financial does not seek to collect special categories of personal data (“sensitive data”), including but not limited to data revealing racial, or ethnic origin, political opinions, gender, religious or philosophical beliefs, health, genetic and biometric data, or trade union memberships, through this site. DM Financial understands the importance of protecting children’s privacy. It is not our policy to intentionally collect or maintain information about anyone under the age of 13.

When the data is no longer necessary to the purpose for which it was collected; DM Financial will proceed to erase all your personal data held in its systems without undue delay.

Transferring your Personal Data outside Ireland

DM Financial may share your personal data with:

DM Group, which includes any DM subsidiaries and affiliates part of the DM network of companies;
DM Group services providers (third parties) who process information on DM’s behalf, including providers of information technology, identity management, website hosting and management, data analysis, data back-up, security and storage services; or,
Other third parties where you have given your consent to the disclosure (either to DM or the third party).

DM Group operates in compliance with the relevant data protection laws and regulations. DM Financial services providers are legally obliged to follow DM Financial express instructions in respect of the use of your personal information and they must comply with appropriate security measures to protect your personal information.

In case DM Financial transfers your personal information to countries that may not have the same level of data protection provided in your home country,

your postings on any blogs, forums, wikis and any other social media applications and services that we provide;
your IP address, your browser type and language, your access times; complaint details; and
details of how you use our products and services.

If you choose not to provide us with this information, or you object to us processing such information (see ‘your rights below’ below) we may be prevented from processing your instructions or continuing to provide all or some of our services to you or our client.

Protection of your Personal Data

We use a range of physical, electronic and managerial measures to ensure that we keep your personal data secure, accurate and up to date. These measures include:

Education and training to relevant staff to ensure they are aware of our data protection obligations when processing personal data;
Administrative and technical controls to restrict access to personal data to a 'need to know' basis;
Technological security measures, including fire walls, encryption and anti-virus software; and
Physical security measures, such as staff security passes to access our premises.

How long we keep your Information for

Any request for access to or a copy of your personal data must be in writing and we will endeavor to respond within a reasonable period and in any event within one month in compliance with Data Protection Legislation. We will comply with our legal obligations as regards your rights as a data subject.
